As the name of this course suggests, you will need to complete that course before attempting this one, to get the most from it.

The aim of the course

Welcome to this course designed to help you manage adverse events using a business continuity plan. This course covers the types of events you may face, considers the impact of such events and how to protect vital functions and get back to normal as soon as possible.

Who is it for?

This course is aimed at business owners and managers.

Course duration and format

You can approach this course in one of two ways.

1.If you treat it purely as a source of information and knowledge, then you can complete the course in around 120 to 150 minutes.

2. However, if you engage fully with the materials and the learning materials, it will guide you through creating a complete system for disaster recovery. To do this will require significant additional time to complete the checklists and to reflect on your own practice, but it is divided into sections so that you can complete it in a number of sessions.
We advise you to complete each section at one sitting to maximise your learning, where possible, but allowing time between study sessions may enhance your learning by allowing additional time for reflection on both your learning and your current practices and allow you to implement plans from what you have learnt.

At the end, there is an online test, successful completion of which will enable you to get a certificate to provide evidence of your learning. More importantly, you should be able to demonstrate what you learnt going forward in the way that you respond to adverse events.
